New Amsterdam Presents is excited to celebrate the upcoming Untitled Operaabout Robert Moses and Jane Jacobs, at our annual Benefit Gala on November 2, 2015. Co-produced by NewAm and currently being developed at 3LD Art & Technology Center and the Wassaic Project, the opera is a collaboration between composer and NewAm co-director Judd Greenstein, director Joshua Frankel, choreographer Will Rawls, and Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Tracy K. Smith.

The opera creative team has been hard at work this summer developing new scenes and preparing for the pre-premiere at Williams College in March 2016. The Benefit Gala will feature an intimate with the opera's creative team, a performance with new music and visuals from the opera, a silent auction, and a dance party with guest DJs. All of this is taking place at the state-of-the-art music venue National Sawdust, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

All proceeds from the Benefit will go to support the production of the opera and the New Amsterdam Presents mission.
